Our Leadership team

  • Luca is the Campaigns Manager for Brake, the road safety charity, where they lead national campaigns focused on new legislation, public awareness of road dangers, and advocacy for road crash victims. They develop and implement campaign strategies and serve as a key media spokesperson.

    Luca joined Brake in January 2023. Previously, they were Head of Communications at Tinnitus UK and Policy and Communications Manager at NAVCA, among other roles, with over 15 years of experience in voluntary sector communications and campaigning.

    In 2022, Luca received the Charity Times Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement for co-founding Charity So Straight and coordinating the volunteer response to Covid-19 while at NAVCA.

DEPUTY CEO (GOVERNANCE)

  • Suneet is our Deputy CEO focusing on governance- Suneet focuses on ensuring we have the polices,  procedures and practices in place to run effectively, efficiently and in a compliance with best practice. He is responsible for Proud Changemakers registration as a charity and our day to day governance.

    In the voluntary sector Suneet has been a Trustee of videogames mental health charity, Safe In Our World, and was a Trustee of LGBTQ+ Youth charity, It Gets Better UK. Previously, Suneet has held legal roles at leading media and technology-focused companies. Suneet is passionate about diversity, advocacy, mental health and creating positive change for LGBTQ+ people.

CAMPAIGNS LEAD

  • Catherine is the Policy and Influencing Manager at NCVO, the membership body for charities and volunteering in England. She works on policy and influencing for a broad range of issues, including volunteering. She has a background in academia and children’s social care.

    Catherine leads on our campaigns work at Proud Changemakers and is passionate about supporting the community to raise our voice and create positive change.

DEPUTY CEO (SAFEGUARDING)


  • Graysen began their career in the charitable sector, advancing to LGBT+ Service Development Manager at the Kent-based charity Porchlight. Currently, they are the Outreach and Support Lead for Bemix, a small charity in Kent and Medway that serves people with learning disabilities and Autistic people.

    Graysen was a Truetee, followed by Vice Chair of the Board for Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons’ Trust for three years.

    Originally from Staffordshire, they moved to Kent for university, earning a First in Comparative Literature and a Master’s in The Contemporary, focusing on queer literature. In 2017, they delivered a TEDx talk on non-binary identity, addressing barriers and allyship.

DEVELOPMENT LEAD

  • Paige has 10+ years’ experience in the charity sector, holds a Politics BA and an MSc in Placemaking, in which she specialised in feminism and environmental psychology.

    Paige has formerly been the Head of Business Development and Engagement for CharityComms, worked for 5 years at the mental health and domestic violence charity TLC: Talk, Listen, Change and has held voluntary positions as a Trustee, a Coach for young professionals and a Group Lead for the LGBT Foundation.

    Paige currently runs a charity consultancy and is the founder of a new LGBTQ+ wellbeing studio based in Manchester.

  • Heather has worked with LGBTQ+ groups for over twenty years. From her election as Sheffield Hallam Students Union’s LGB officer in 2000 to her current role as Head of Partnerships and Development for LGBT Consortium, Heather has actively advocated for the representation of marginalised members within our communities.

    Heather co-founded Sheffield's first Pride event back in 2007, chaired the LGBT+ Hub of Sheffield's Equality Hub Network and was CEO Sheffield LGBT+ Youth Charity, SAYiT. She currently writes the LGBTQ+ Column for Exposed Magazine and DJs and hosts events as her drag persona, Anna Kissed

    Recently, Heather co-authored the chapter “Supporting Neurodiverse LGBTQ+ Students to Thrive” for the book Relational Practice: New Approaches to Mental Health and Wellbeing in Schools. Outside of her professional commitments, Heather is a proud dog owner to her Pomeranian, Princess, and an avid tattoo collector, frequently attending conventions across the country to expand her collection.

  • Carrie is a writer, editor, and communications specialist passionate about storytelling and change-making.

    Formerly Editor-in-Chief of DIVA Magazine, a position they held for four years, Carrie was most recently Head of Digital and Communications at Mermaids, a leading trans youth charity. A respected voice in the LGBTQIA+ community, Carrie has written for the likes of The Guardian and The Independent, has been shortlisted in the Write To End Violence Against Women Awards and CharityComms Inspiring Communicators Awards, and appeared in Attitude Magazine’s annual list of 101 LGBTQ Trailblazers changing the world.

    Today, Carrie works as a freelance consultant, supporting individuals and organisations with their communications. When they're not working, you'll find them cycling around Edinburgh or stressing over their fantasy WSL team.

TRUSTEE


  • Amy is the Small Charity Support Manager at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), where she leads on practical support for small charities and develops partnerships to address the challenges faced by the sector. She joined NCVO after the closure of the Small Charities Coalition in April 2022, where she managed their helpdesk, mentoring, and grants programmes.

    With a background in Arabic and French from Edinburgh University, Amy has worked with small, local charities in London, focusing on projects supporting refugees, asylum seekers, and young people with additional needs. She is passionate about empowering individuals to access opportunities and build inclusive communities.

    Amy also co-leads NCVO’s Rainbow Network, fostering safe and inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies. She is proud to advocate for small charities and promote diversity, inclusion, and community-building across the sector.

  • Leah Milner-Campbell (she/her) is a former charity CEO with nearly 25 years of experience in the sector. Now specialising in neurodiversity and inclusion, Leah supports charity leaders in creating resilient, inclusive organisations where everyone can thrive.

    Leah’s work focuses on helping leaders who are, or suspect they may be, ADHD and/or Autistic, like herself, to implement practical strategies that address burnout, team challenges, and performance concerns. Her strengths-based approach combines lived experience with deep sector knowledge, empowering leaders to prioritise their wellbeing while fostering impactful, neuroinclusive workplaces.

    As a trustee of Proud Changemakers, Leah is passionate about championing diverse voices and creating spaces where every individual can contribute their unique strengths.
